I am not trusting Google any more. Gmail is one of their products.

My wife and I have used Protonmail for years, as well as the rest of their offerings. Never had any issues. Was recommended to us by a cyber warfare friend of ours...for whatever that's worth.

If I was going to go to the trouble of such things, I think Protonmail would be the clear choice.

But honestly, I just don't care anymore. After 30 years on the internet and countless thousands of data breaches large and small, my entire life is already out there. I've been using Gmail since forever and I'm not going to go through the trouble to change now. So they see that Hobby Lobby is notifying me of a sale or that I ordered some ammo from Midway...Who cares?

I don't bother with firewalls either...
