The annual ballot for the NRA board has arrived and I noticed a bylaw amendment I hadn't heard much about. The only sources that seem to be discussing this are member magazine and the ANJRPC (Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs).

Voting yes is suggested. It says it would create a Chief Compliance Officer but when reading it says it would make some positions harder to dismiss.
At first glance it seems to be a positive step. However, it is unanimously supported by all of the NRA Officers and the entire NRA Board of Directors, which gives me pause. As a group, these individuals have a poor record of taking care of the membership."

Does anyone have more information or thoughts on this?

For the record, I am aware the NRA may be past saving, or reforming to prevent previous abuses. But it is still worth trying to salvage. I will be "bullet voting". There are 4 running who have vowed to reform the organization which will be the only ones marked on my ballot.
