Figured this needed a little kick. Stripped the paint from this 18" build and went back to the Vltor hand guard and ARMS scope mount. Imbel on DSA built by Rich at CGW many moons ago.
MRO sits nicely and makes for quick shooting on steel. The hand guard never gets too too hot for long, but the burn proof rap keeps it comfortable even later in the day.
A little spendy for .308 right now, but it still gets out to the range.
