Doesn't matter unless your worried just about BATFE arresting you or you are buying from a dealer on a 4473. For example here in Alaska felons can own firearms after 10 years have passed. Illegally federally but the Feds don't have the manpower to enforce the law on a large scale. Marijuana is legal here as well and many MJ users are gun owners.
