    Trust questions

I have a individual listed on my trust as the beneficiary but want to know if I need to add them as a trustee?

I want them to be legal if a situation arrives and they utilize a NFA item.

Also they will be in possession of the items when I'm not home.

If this is not the correct place mods please move.

If i remember correctly you need to make them a trustee?

Beneficiary is purly for death, or when the others on the trust can no longer be in posession.

To access the nfa items now they need to be on the trust as a trustee.

    They can be both.

    Ok thanks.

On my trust it just says that I need to have them sign the paper in front of a notary.

What else do I need to do? This seems like it's TOO easy.

As I understand it, beneficiary is generally for people who can inherit but not use the items, like underage people (ie children). The above quote sounds similar to how I had my trust set up from the get go, signed in front of notary.

Any advice I could give, I wouldn't be confident in outside of Tennessee. I think you need to consult a trust attorney in your state since your state laws are going to be the legal standard you'll be held to if things get that far. They can tell you exactly what you need to do, who needs to sign what, where they need to sign it, and in front of who.
