The ejection is related to ammo power factor. When I shoot my soft reloads the cases hover right above the slide. Shooting full power/defensive loads the cases get shucked back and to the right.

If you spend much time around the guys who really, really know their craft, and who truly live this stuff, you tend to find that they are very soft-spoken and modest -- almost to the extreme. To my mind, that is a model worthy of emulation

I believe Steyr will send you a new ejector and spring if you call them. They are aware of the problems with the early guns.
No malfunctions with my L9-A1 range toy. It's working suave!

Curious Greg, what did you end up doing with this firearm?
Greg, did you end up dumping the gun?

I kind of have the hankering for an L9-A1. They've been out for a couple of years now though and I've literally never even seen one.
Well, I went ahead and purchased a m9-a1 yesterday. Im intrigued. I have not shot it and wont get to until later this month but ill update the thread. First non-Glock I have purchased in 10 years.

I dumped it long ago. My buddy Dan still shoots his weekly. That gun must have a bazillion rounds through it.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”
