You might want to add a chest seal, if you have some room. You can improvise one, of course, using the Olaes wrapper and tape. But a pair of Halo's is pretty handy to have with a compromised chest, when time is always at a minimum.

I agree with adding a chest seal. The point I was making in this thread as OP was the bare minimum kit to address the most common preventable causes of fatality. This is exactly why the Olaes is my go to dressing. It has a nice plastic sheet that can be pulled out of the main body and used as a seal. Fox and Halo are surely superior if given the choice (as stand alone Cx Seals).
As for TQs, carry more than one. One on your chest rig, belt or outside, as well as another in IFAK. Where one does not work, apply a second one.
Handy vid reference for all. Videos demonstrate function of the OLAES and application of the plastic sheet.

Thanks guys. Ordered a Halo seal, a 2nd Softt-W, and a Softt-W trainer.
Great information in this thread. I am in the process of ordering these essentials. Does anybody have any recommendations on a good pouch to hold it all? I won't be wearing a chest rig so I need something that can be worn on a belt or attached to a pack.
Is there a smaller alternative to the OALES for edc?

I have one of those ankle wrap doodads as well. I've been carrying a TQ like that on the right ankle for a few months with no issues.
