New scope for new ar build

Hi all looking to get a new scope for my ar. I have been looking at some leupold ar mod 1 4-12x40, sightron sii 4-16x42 and Nikon M-223 4-16x42. I really like the custom turrets on the Nikon and leupold. But I can get the sightron for a lot cheeper. Would the turrets be worth the extra $? What are your opinions of the scopes that I have listed? The gun will be used for shooting ground squirrels and some paper. Probably not going out past 300yrds most the time. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Tell us about your rifle? How tight does it shoot with good ammunition?

I have only test fired it. Not at any paper yet. Needs optics. I don't have any irons.

The rifle is .556 with a 16" arp barrel and arp bolt. Bcm upper with the a5 buffer system. The lower is a rock river with a velocity 3lbs trigger. Let me know if you need any more info on the gun.
    Thanks.
