I'm sorry, but my sympathy ship has sailed and is lost at sea. If someone isn't smart enough to RESEARCH if their permit is legal in another state or what the particulars are then I don't feel for them. If I don't know I RESEARCH. If that doesn't work I seek out people who I trust to provide good answers.

    Don't volunteer information when stopped.

I believe a quote from a previous situation is appropriate here. Remember the poor bastard who had the audacity to have more than 7 rounds in his pistol in NY right after the unSAFE act was passed? A pro-2A legislator said that the law "didn't save any lives that day, but it certainly ruined one".

It just seems like a contest to see who can be the worst the fastest. But at least we can all breathe easier in the NorthEast knowing that our outstanding legislators have " taken another gun off the streets".

"Why "zombies"? Because calling it 'training to stop a rioting, starving, panicking, desperate mob after a complete governmental financial collapse apocalypse' is just too wordy." or in light of current events: training to stop a rioting, looting, molotov cocktail throwing, skinny jeans wearing, uneducated bunch of lemmings duped by, or working directly for, a marxist organization attempting to tear down America while hiding behind a race-based name

I'm sure there are plenty of people who think their CC permit is similar to their drivers license, as it should be.

It should be, but it isn't. One of the many problems is that people wait until they're arrested to make that argument. Another is that, even between states that recognize each other's permits, the laws and rules concerning any duty to notify L/E, and what info L/E has at their disposal are inconsistent. Having absolute consistency can be a double edged sword, though; I have a feeling that it would involve "compromise". I'm with you, though, and I've written my Congress critters about it.

This thread got me thinking about an older one that also invoked the "well there's your problem: you went to New Jersey" response-

The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Yep, totally agree. Incidents like this only make it more difficult for people to cooperate with the police, even when they want to, for fear of arrest, prosecution, etc. There's a lot of people who talk themselves into getting arrested due to thinking the police are their friends and being honest will somehow be viewed in their favor.

I believe she plead guilty to a lesser charge and or took Pre Trial intervention. She wasn't going to go to jail as it is.

Does a pardon remove any convictionon she may have had and ensures that she does not come up as a restricted person?

True, although there is apparently no penalty for staying silent.

However, in both PA and NJ, there is no duty to inform. Why she evidently chose to do it anyway is beyond me. Not being there or seeing video of the stop makes it hard to render a snap judgment though.
