    Range Fees?

What's the going rate for a range fee for an 8 hour day long class? 15%-20% of the class tuition? That seems pretty fair to me, but has anyone had any actual experience negotiating class fees? Any advice would be appreciated.

Most of the range fees I have had to okay were anywhere from $20-50 for a $300-$500 one/two day class.

We have an indoor range and classroom with kitchen facilities at our gun club. We have a set rate we charge for NRA and CCW instructors. The club charges $25 per student for NRA classes and $50 for CCW classes. We do not charge for Women on Target, NRA First Step classes, Boy Scouts, 4H, etc.

Of course instructors can charge what they want, it is not up to the club.

Most instructors charge students $100 for an 8 hour NRA Basic Pistol course.
Most instructors charge students $250 for a 16 hour CCW course.

Our outdoor range is closed in winter. If someone wants to hold a class in the snow, we charge $25 per day for each student. In the summer, during normal operating hours, we rent our 100 yard range for $200 per day, and $250 per day for the 200 and 1000 yd ranges.
