I owned an Hk MR556,Sig 516,DDM4V5,S&W M&P15,Colt 6920, and CMMG AR's when I bought the RRA I have. The reason I bought it was because it shoots better than any AR I own. It is a 24" SS Varmint rifle. The HK is by far the second best in accuracy. My brother had the RRA and I fell in love with it after shooting it. I shoot 1/2-5/8" groups at 100 with my hand loads. This is bench shooting with both front and rear bags. It now has a 1000-1200 round count and not a single issue.
Note that this isn't a rifle I would defend myself or family with, it is just for shooting steel. It is far too bulky to use as a battle rifle. I knew my AR's very well when I bought it. I have never owned a Bushmaster AR (only the BA-50), DPMS,Olympic, etc. I can say I was a horrible snob on my brands of AR's. I now give RRA a little more credit on the long barreled varmint rifles. I cannot say anything about RRA's carbine length, but I don't regret the Varmint a bit. I shoot it once or twice a month.
