I've had my Steinhart for about 3 years. I'll wear it a few months then let another watch take it's place in the rotation. It's got normal swirls and marks from daily use. I'd say it's held up well, especially given how hard I am on watches.

Well...
After poking around, I think I've decided on a Seiko SKX007J, 009, or A53K.
The issue right now is that since I don't know the first thing about watches, I haven't a clue as to a good reliable online retailer that carries Seiko products... Any advice is appreciated!

Fair warning it gets addictive.

They're smaller and easy to buy mail-order too.

Great, just what I need... another...er, addiction...
As a matter of fact, I'm now coveting a Seiko Le Grande SCL033 as well...
Of course, now I'm going to have to get two watches, since I couldn't wear such a fancy looking watch every day, I have to have a "work watch" too, right?
Oh, boy...
Next thing I know I'll be broke, but wearing a Rolex...

TAG-Heuer. I have had it since high school (22 years) and with regular maintenance, never ever had a problem.
