Which surefire? Doesnt make a differance, I just want to know.
It wont hurt to sight it in either way. Wont bother a thing.

New Surefire what?? Light? Rail? Magazine? Muzzle Device? Suppressor? (although I'm not sure how you just "pick one up" yesterday, unless you mean you got your stamp back).

sorry for lack of info guys. its a surfire G2X Tactical model flash light.
I am just wondering if the weight would throw off the zero is all. I have it mounted on a troy inds. rail with a DD offset mount.

Edit: OK I won't be "that guy"...short answer: no.

Longer Answer: Pretty much anything that you mount to the rail won't affect zero. Anything that is mounted or even touches the barrel could affect zero.

ETA #2: The above is talking about FF rails...

Zero it and practice with it how you intend to use it. Applies for any accessory. Won't make a difference in this case, but it's worth it to know how effective that flashlight placement is for you.
