What was the distance between the breech face and the extractor in your factory MIM extractor vs Rany's extractor?

Unfortunately, i dont know as i do not have the ability to take those measurements.
As i stated prior, i am far from an engineer. I leave the design and engineering to people far smarter than i.
I just press triggers and report my findings.
Measurements also would have been somewhat skewed as i did not have access to any brand new guns.
What WOULD be interesting would be a measurement of averages of the distance between the extractor claw and the breech face across say ten brand new in box Gen 4 guns. Unfortunately, i again fall short as i do not have access to that many NIB guns.

How did this get fixed or is it still not fixed?
So. Will Randy be selling his own ejector too?
I must have missed that part.
We miss you, AC.
We miss you, ToddG.
Yes, he will be.
Triny,
No, it did not get fixed. I replaced the slide lock and spring and i can still make that happen on command.
Like i said, i havent had the slide rocket off since that one occasion so...well...i guess ill just have to deal with it lol. :/
Hella concerning... Wonder what causes that.
Magz,
Can you post pics of the ejection port milling that Randy did (if it's not close hold material at this time)? I spent some time talking with Randy and crew at SHOT and will "upgrade" several Glocks when his parts come available.

Mr Dobbs,
Absolutely. Pictures are forthcoming, i just havent had a chance to get them processed.
Hopefully the extractor is the only thing I will need to replace in my Gen3 G17 to remedy the casings being thrown into my forehead. I've even contemplated even just buying a Gen2 G17.
Thank you for this thread! I have a couple RTF2 Glock 19s that seem to be running fine now, but I don't completely trust them. I will be picking up an extractor for each Glock as well, just to be on the safe side.
