Thanks man, that looks like the solution to my 12:00 light on a middy while retaining my FSB problem.

Full-auto isn't a concern for me but this was the only question I had. Thanks for answering it preemptively.

For those bemoaning $79, you'd have to drop $150+ for a railed handguard/tube and then another $50+ in addition for an iron sight plus all the hub-bub involved with grinding your FSB so what's the gripe?

Stick, pics of said TLR mounted? Please sir

Thankfully Buck had one for pictures, I gave my TRL away to a brother LEO who needed it more than me.

Realization/Goal for me, average civilian shooter: Spend at least 5 hours dry firing, drills, shooting, getting proper live instruction for every 1 hour spent surfing forums about equipment set up.

I have a TLR-1 in exactly the same position, using a generic bit of rail clamped to the barrel (mine's on a 14.5" midlength, which I think is the same as what's pictured).

Stickman is right — there's absolutely no danger of getting one's fingers in front of the barrel.

I've shot mine several times with the light on it, bare-handed, and it's easy enough to reach the switch for the light without actually touching the FSB.

The upper part of the FSB doesn't get that hot at the rate that I shoot, anyway...

What about a surefire x400? I tried one on my daniel defense omega rail but it was too tall and blocked my open sights.
