    he didn't.

I was hunting on the ground. He was chasing a doe and poked his head up over a hill about 30 yards away, facing me. All I could see was his neck and head. I center punched him in the neck. He dropped instantly.

I nailed another songdog at 225 yards last night with the ELCAN/FLIR T-70 in pitch dark at 225 yards.

Took over twenty minutes of calling and he kept coming in and out of the far tree line and would never stand still, very nervous.

Finally had a clear sight picture of him on the edge of the tree line and put the center crosshair dot on his heart, one handloaded 130 grain Barnes TSX went through him and he dropped dead in his tracks.

Took a nice head shot on this bambi killer @ 125 yards tonight, DRT.

You don't want to see the other side of him where the 130 grain Barnes TSX exited...

Have a nice take down thermal video to work on too, will post later...

Tonight a giant 375 pound boar walked out in front of the SIG 716 and FLIR Thermal, it was his last mistake.

Will post a FLIR Thermal video of him meeting a 7.62mm when I get a chance to work it up.....

The Barnes 130 grain TSX entered behind the shield and scapula and went through his upper thoracic cavity and exited the other side, hardly any blood at all as he was exsanguinated into the lung cavity. I only hit him on the first shot, although I shot once again at him when he took off, thermal death video of him coming up....

Wiley Coyote wasn't so wiley. It appeared that several times he hesitated going forward almost having a premonition of his demise. Nice work, Skypup.

That's a nice boar you took down too.

Our hunt last weekend was a bust. Only 8 guys showed up from the 14 who planned on attending, and only one deer was taken the entire weekend. I drove up on a Bobcat walking along the roadside about 12:30 am, but only had a .22 pistol within reach. By time I reached around behind me for my rifle, it had gone into some high grass and I never saw it again.

Merry Christmas to all, and more good hunting.

Okay, here is the 25MB WMV FLIR T-70 Thermal shootout at 175 yards.

Sure am glad I had the .308 for this one!
