Glock Extractor Issues Gen 4 - Gen 3

Yes. I had erratic Ejection and brass to the face with a brand new Gen 4 G21. It is now long gone. It did it with American Eagle, WWB, Speer Gold Dot, and Winchester Ranger T. However, it was worse when shooting the lower powered loads such as the previously mentioned 230gr Ball. With the higher powered LE ammo, it was better, but still not good.

It seems like the extractor problem is still out there for Glock. Other than spending additional money to fix it with other parts, or getting lucky with a good gun, is there any firm information that this will be fixed soon?

I think that it's always been a problem, just ignored until recently. I wouldn't hold your breath on a fix.

Okay, so while shooting my EDC gen4 G19 I finally experienced some of what you guys are reporting. Shooting CCI shotshell, they fired, rose in an arch about 6-8" or so, and came back at 5:00-6:00 to hit the forward third of my R forearm.

I was pretty impressed, not expecting them to cycle at all. Recoil was light to non-existant. Firing a batch of standard ammo thereafter, ejection returned to a vigorous ~4:00 and several feet.

Those shot shells used to cycle my glk22 rtf with ease. Actually- got a couple of squirrels with the 40's .

Well that does it today I was shooting my G 19 every other fricken round hit me in the forehead, I'll be selling it. And to make things worse there was a.glock 19 gen 2 sitting in the case I was looking at prior to shooting and decided I would buy it and I came out from the range it was gone. I could have killed myself. I was so f$cking stupid not to buy it I'll probably never see one again

I hear that, I spotted a Gen2 G19 in a pawn shop case, bought it on the spot,

BTW the 3 BTF resulted from 2 winchester nato 124gr and 1 from gold dots 124gr

Can anyone tell me if this is enough to call glock and report it?

So your saying its going to get worse from now on? I've been debating if I should call Glock or not. It's happened 1% of the time so that's a win win for me. I'm just wondering how often others get BTF.

Much more likely to get worse than to get better.
