Brings tears to my eyes, man! Great work - beautiful concept. I've always wondered too what the difference was in the 700 action for the 7 - I assumed it's a standard 700 short ADL with maybe a few lightening cuts added? I really think Remington has always done a poor job of advertising the 7 over all these iterations, considering how much hunters swear by them when they realize its full potential. I'm guessing it is intentional so as not to impact the 700 variants sales numbers? Otherwise, the execs must be really stupid. Thanks for keeping the 7 alive : ) - looks like a coyote brown? Really like the idea of locating the front swivel just in front of the CG - imagine you can really box in the weight of the rifle inside your elbows. I don't think you're limited to 200# with it in a 16" bbl.

What is your opinion of the Model 7 vs 700 size wise.
I like the 700 just fine but the 7 is perfect for hunting and general use.
You cannot get the longer cartridges in them and that is fine with me.
Most of the things I have used a rifle for the Model 7 is hands down the best rifle for the job in a bolt gun.
There is so much to do with the little things they are truly more for less.

    Nice work, perfect little rifle.

Could you do a dovetail rear sight and front post on something like that?

Very nice. I just picked up a Micro 7 (Rem Mod 7) in 300 BLK from the AAC folks. As you said, very handy little rifle! I added a bolt knob from Bill's Bolt Knobs and I am going to add the QD sling mounts like the one on this rifle.

Does anyone make a magazine conversion for these similar to the Badger/AICS versions for the Mod 700? I'd love to get one on the rifle.

Check out the Hooper Ordnance, uses AI mags, so pick up the .223 mags and you are good

Thanks for the heads up - his bolt knob mods are about a 1000 times nicer than mine. I didn't see Hooper mention bottom metal for a Model 7 action though.

I looked around again and it looks like Badger Ord does a short action bottom metal se for .223 guns. I'll see if it will work with the Micro 7.

    Spooky
