Way to go Joe! Another great rifle. I agree with the handyness of this rifle. I had something similar done recently by Wilson Combat. A stainless Ruger compact with laminate stock cut to 16" and Decelerator installed and black Armor Tuff over the stainless. In 308 it was to be my pig killer and all around truck rifle. I like the placement of your sling attachments better than the traditional. Whose base and rings, Optic did you use on this build? It looks great.

The base and rings are EGW I like there parts and George is a good guy.
This gun came out nice to say the least it is a handy little rifle.
The scope is a 1.5 to 5 leupold mark III.

    Very nice!

A friend of mine has a Model 7 Kevlar stock variant, in 7MM-08. He swears by it, and many mulies and whitetails have died by it.

If I get another deer rifle, one like yours will be it. As usual, great work.

Neat, I think the 7mm-08 and the Model 7 work well together. My boss has one in that caliber just in case his wife ever wanted to go deer hunting.

If I had a Model 7 lying around, I definitely would have built it into 300 AAC instead of tearing down my Rem 700 to do it!

    Nice work, perfect little rifle.

Could you do a dovetail rear sight and front post on something like that?
