if you don't mind the hijack: does the trijicon RMR (dual illumination or LED) work with night vision devices?

trijicon CS didn't answer that question, so i assume the tritium would work, but not so sure about the LED version??

    please enlighten me on this!

    Gentlemen,

Good thread on pistol sights. I've been thinking of swapping out the stock sights on my M&P for luminous sights. I'd like to hear the pros and cons on the various setups posted i.e.

luminous front sight / two dot luminous rear sight
luminous front sight / single dot luminous rear sight
luminous front sight / blacken rear sight or
visually enhanced (gold or painted) front sight / blacken rear sight

I realize your personnel preference will dictate your choice, so I'm interested on the pros and cons that impacted on your decision. My own purpose is primarily home defense, weekend IDPA matches and training classes.

    Thanks much!

Ping me after the weekend. I'll be using one in a non-pistol capacity, but with I-square, so I can check it out. I'm crappy about bringing a camera to the field, but I'll try to remember.

Works decent, not great in ACOGs, so the question in my head becomes "Smaller sight/less tritium = better, Y/N?" We'll see.

    CK1,

Are the "hackathorn" rear sights the Pro Operators? The bulbs look small but maybe its the pics. If so, I really like the smaller bulb set up in the operators.

Also, it seems that the hackathorns are quite a bit wider than the defoors. Do you find them to be even faster when acquiring the front sight?

Would I be wrong in saying the only difference between the hackathorns and pro operators is the the front sight a rear sight bulbs? Are the dimensions the same?

Thanks to everyone for adding to this thread, Im finding it to be beneficial already.
