OAL: 1.0 is 1.75" (same as A2), 1.5 is 2.0"(just enough to satisfy legal requirements with pinning), BABC is 2.6"

I've had my BC 1.0 for a few weeks, and several hundred rounds. Simply put it works as advertised. It makes my 16" carbine gas DD upper much more "shootable" during rapid fire. During a BSA drill, I was able to consistently get off all my shots well under par time (and get hits). I can go on and on about how great the BattleComp is, but I think we all know that by now.

I do have one regret though. I won't be using the BC on my duty rifle anymore. I have switched to a 14.5 midlength with a pinned A2X. However, I do have another 14.5 midlength barrel on the way- and I will be happy to but a BC 1.5 on it. So what I'm saying is- BC staff please hurry up with the 1.5 so I can keep rockin' the BattleComp while at work. Thanks for giving us such an excellent weapon enhancement.

I was going to go with a SureFire brake for my SPR build, but after reading only a portion of this thread I think I would be silly not to go with the BattleComp.

Living in a Ban state I have few options, this seems to fit the bill very well.

Plus, with the Noveske SS bbl, getting the Matte Stainless Comp will match... lol.

How dificult is this comp to pin/weld? I assume since the lower portion of it looks similar to an A2 it should be just as easy to drill the flat area, pin and weld.

I don't think welding the current 1.0 or BABC has been discussed so far in this thread. There is a version 1.5 coming out in the near future though which will be slightly longer than the 1.0 and will be pre-drilled as I understand it to accommodate being pinned. This model will also bring 14.5" barrels to legal 16" overall length.

I don't see myself deeding to order the comp for another month or two. So hopefuly the V1.5 will come online in that time. Being Pre-Drilled can only help the cause.

I was not worried about an OAL number since I will be using an 18" BBL, but if the V1.5 is made with pinning in mind, it will only make the job easier and worth waiting for.

the BC shines in awkward firing positions, where you don't have much support nor a great grip on the weapon. urban prone goes from "pain in the ass" to "mild inconvenience," basically. the only reason i hesitated before taking the headshot on the first proned target was to get my muzzle around the fender- otherwise, it would have been 1,2,3, like the second.

Anyone stuck a BABC on a bolt gun yet?

I've been wanting to put together a lightweight .308 bolt gun with an 18" barrel and being able to mount the BABC and/or change it out for a can might be interesting, provided the same thread is used for both.

So anyone put one of these on a bolt action yet? Anything to report?

During my initial testing of the BC 1.0 I tried swapping out my buffer, and it appears that the BC worked better on my 16" Carbine with the standard H Buffer. I tried it with an MGI Rate Reducing Buffer and muzzle rise seemed to be more pronounced.

I need to run another test to confirm, but the RRB might be headed out the door.
