To all who have bought these. I am planing on buying a couple. After shooting your ar for awhile with the comp on, have you removed it to clean. Was wondering how much carbon builds up on the muzzle. I have a SD 16" mid with an ak74 brake. After about a hundred or so rounds i removed the break and found the muzzle quite caked up with carbon.

I finally had an opportunity to shoot my AR with the Battle Comp installed. I didn't get to put too many rounds downrange - this was a drop-in visit at the local range while running other errands just to check out the BC. I'm very impressed! Seeing the reticle stay put after the first shot caused a smile that stuck well after I'd left the range! Recoil is now a soft push straight back. I'll post more once I've had an opportunity to shoot more with it. So far I'd say that the BC is one of the best functional improvements I've made to my AR!

how does this comp compare to the surefire MB556K?

Just finished up a two day new recruit training and during the class I let some of the newbies try out the Battle Comp installed on my personal rifle. Everyone had this grin after shooting it (especially me).

All threaded barrels will build up some carbon in the gap between the crown and the muzzle device. For the most part, this is insignificant and nothing about which to worry.

As to cleaning the actual BattleComp, I prefer Slip 2000 Degreaser/Carbon Cutter. It works very well.

Thanks, brother! Glad you like it! Since we originally designed the BattleComp for team CQB for cops and military, it means a lot to us when we get great feedback from folks who will actually use it that way.

To give credit where credit is due, while Nick handles most of the sales and customer contact and I run the business end, the real credit belongs to Marty. He is the genius.

Marty is able to take our tactical input, envision what we want and then make it happen from a machining and engineering standpoint. In sense, Marty is able to couple our collective creativity with machining capability -- and that's just cool.

how does this comp compare to the surefire MB556K?

BCE, LLC has a policy of not making direct comparisons with any other brands, but I imagine someone here has fired the BattleComp side by side with the product in question, and can provide an opinion.

Is there any intention to export the product to Canada? I know we have a few dealers who would be all over it, not to mention shooters.
