Some friends and I wanted to do a little comparison with the BC and an A2 flash hider. Same gun, we changed it out on the field. My buddies stance kind of stinks with the A2 but he keeps it the same for the BC.

My rifle already had the BC on it so no comparison was made, just some fun shooting with it.

Me personally, if you watch the reloads, two rounds almost sound like one. I am the skinny one in the brown t-shirt. And no, that's not Chumlee from Pawn stars...haha

Interesting. I've never had the recoil of a 5.56 push me back ever. Not as a 18 year old 155 pound USMC trooper or current 195 pound LEO. I've tried all the comps and honestly don't see any benefit. The A2 works just fine.

I know, I promise he wasn't trying to be dramatic. He just got the gun and we hadn't really worked on stance yet. He is new to AR's and really any semi-auto rifle. But as you can see, he uses the same crappy stance for each. It does a good job of showing the difference.

Well in that case, I commended you for helping a newer shooter out.
    Good on ya.

Remember, the Founding Fathers reason for the 2nd Amendment... to combat tyranny. Sadly, when people discuss the 2nd Amendment, the opponents erroneously think it was meant to stand alone... it HAS a preamble:

"...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security..."

Yeh, I find the BC helps me out. I don't really notice much recoil on an AR15 under any circumstances but I do notice that there is less muzzle deviation with the BattleComp and it makes it easier for me to stay on target for followup shots.

I'm 270 lbs being MUCH wider in the shoulders than anywhere else. There is no noticeable recoil for most small arms for me. However, on my 5.56 carbines, I find the Battle Comp makes a good thing better (repeated shot placement). Is it a requirement? Of course not. An A2 works... just that a BC works "better" for my needs.

    Buddy has a problem

One of my fellow local shooters just recieved his .30 cal Battle Comp and it doesn't fit his Rainer barrel, also supposed to be 5/8 x 24 thread pitch. We are going to try my known 5/8 x24 thread protector in the morning.

Does anyone here have a pic of a BC 1.0 or 2.0 installed on a 10.3"-10.5" barrel with a standard FSB. I'm looking into an SBR/MK18 build and think I'm going with the battlecomp for it. I have the 1.0 on my 6920 and LOVE the thing! If there is one already posted I must have missed it. Thanks!
