+1 on this but, with optimization for 7.62x39......

Yep, 99.9% sure that Arsenal didn't reinvent the wheel when they made my SLR-106 922(r) compliant and either just used the original Bulgarian AK74 type brake or used a U.S. made one. I don't see any U.S. markings on mine.

Very interesting Robb. It looks almost like a two piece device. Are all AK74's like this? Let me chew on this a while, I may have a solution...

I hate to do it, but "+1" to this.

I've been trying to think how a BC could be adapted to the 24mm threads without awkward or cumbersome adapters, because I would love to have one on a shortened 107CR (7.62x39).

You guys are killing me! I'm relatively confident I can come up with a comp for your AK74's. Give me some time and I'll see what I can do.

Marty, let me know if there are any kind of measurements, pictures, etc. I could provide.

I'd give it a try... you'd have something if you could incorporate the effectiveness of the original without the sideblast. And Robb, the internal baffle plate of the K-Var brake is marked "Made in USA" as can be seen in the pics you linked from K-Var.

Thanks gents. I may very well be tapping into you guys as resources for dimensions and pics. I don't know of any AK74's locally. Being in Kalifornia I'm lucky to have rifles of any kind here in the bay area!

I know. My SLR-106 has a ton of rounds through it and I don't/can't see any markings on my brake so it's either covered in soot or is a Bulgarian brake.
