That sucker is ugly as sin but if it performs like a 3rd gen 9mm Glock, you'll like it more after the class than you do now. Having faith in a gun and your ability to use it is a good feeling.

I wish I was going to Vickers tomorrow!

This G34 is about as awesome as the VSM class! I had 2 stoppages. Oddly enough, they were 2 light primer strikes on some Mil Serp ammo I was using. Both occurred after a press check. I have absolutely no idea if it is related or not. I am doing a complete detail strip and clean to make sure there is no broken parts. I am over 1000 rounds now in this gun without a cleaning so it is overdue.

    I'm jealous.

1k rounds? Shouldn't need to be cleaned. I always manage to induce a malf doing press checks too. Pistol or AR.

I know 1000 is not much for that pistol but it will be the first time I clean it thoroughly since I purchased it (got it used). It is an older model that came in the tupperware box. I just feel better giving it a once over after it gave me some issues during its first class. I have a Gen4 22 that I am bringing to my week long patrol rifle school this week that has 2900 rounds through it without any cleaning, oiling or wiping down. I don't know how many rounds I will shoot through it this week but I'm confident it will not stop.

Cory, pay close attention to the firing pin channel. Make sure you don't have any crud in there. Could very well be the cause of your light primer strikes as the round had an indentation in it but not very deep.
