    Sionics uppers?

I have 4 BCM uppers,a Spike's and a Colt. I'm wanting another 16" midlength. I saw a Sionics with the MI 15" keymod rail(Rail i'm wanting to try) I can get it for $629 or the BCM lw with 12" MI keymod for $638. What would you go with?

There is a thread on here somewhere about Sionics if you do a search. Long story short they are good to go. I would be happy with either one of those uppers.

I do prefer the 15" MI keymod rail and cannot get it with the BCM. How are the Sionics bcg's?

The benefit to this upper is that you also get a 1/8 twist barrel (very accurate) and you also a get a good BCG (Carpenter 158, HP/MPI, 8620, etc.. with the NP3 coating.

What kind of accuracy are they getting and what kind of warranty? The bolt and carrier have the NP3 coating? Thanks

Well typically we have seen less than 1.5 MOA and better with M193 and similar. If you pick up the latest Book of the AR15 (November I recall) the author took the rifle that we built at the shop with him and he was able to get something around .5 MOA.

Trident82 posted here about a build he did with our barrel and there are pics and stuff on the Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/SionicsWeaponSystems

The warranty is a lifetime warranty. The bolt, cam pin and carrier are NP3 coated.

I watched a local peace officer fire either 6 or 7 rounds of factory ammo into a group just under an inch, at a lased 100 yards. He was using a scoped Sionics upper, laying prone with the carbine over a ruck as an improvised rest.

Sample of one, etc, etc. But there was no special "tweaking or tuning" on that upper, it was straight from the factory and shot that well.

I loves me some BCM - they are awesome. And my next barrel is coming from Sionics, for a self defense carbine for my daughter.

I was also looking at their lowers and a complete lower with Vltor A5 system is only $269. Can't beat that price! It is about $100 cheaper to order the upper and lower instead of the complete rifle. $890 for the upper and lower with A5, $1060 for the rifle with moe stock and standard charging handle. That is odd to me.

Remember you have a Federal Excise Tax (FET) on complete firearms. If you order an upper and lower separately, it is not considered complete.
