Actually that is the factory baseplate I modified by cutting off the "toe". I index my magazines when reloading and find the extended toe on the P2000 mags annoying, plus they tend to get snagged on stuff when carried in open top pouches.
My reloads seem to be consistently smoother with this modification as well.
Good judgment comes from experience. And experience… well, that comes from poor judgment.
