Forgings vary in width a few thousandths on the outside dimensions. It is not uncommon to see "deep" and "shallow" engravings in a production run of receivers,The different depths are reflecting the variances in the forgings.
The SA&A looks like the newer "strengthened" forgings from Cerro..
