    Colt Le6920 trigger difference

I was looking at my trigger today and noticed that the back part of the trigger that engages the safety was cut off on one side. Is this typical now or have I been out of the AR-15 loop to long?

I can't answer your question, but I purchased three 6920s this year, and I just went and checked, mine are all that way as well. My older Colt (1991) is normal.

Yeah, I can't see what advantage there would be for that modification. If we dwell on it long enough maybe it will make sense.

It is Colt, therefore it is an anti-FA mod.

My Colt from about 2000 is the cut off on one side as is my 6520 with a sear block, just figured out it's for the sear block. Guess they just haven't changed the design.

I got a RRA NM trigger for a Colt and it's the same way.

Cheat sheet I have says it's "Semi Type 3." Sorry, no p/n.
