Looks like the rail from the frame that should not be seen, but appears to be bent.
The photo just makes it look like something is protruding from between the slide and frame. In actuality there is a notch in the slide and the silver metal is inside.
It's the slide stop notch, clearly visible on any Glock. What you're seeing is the squared breech block inside the slide.

Part of what you're seeing is a reflection.
Its the notch thats is always there and a section of the frame's rail underneath. Because of the lighting and flash there is no shadow to show the depth that you usually see.
So you all are saying that it is just the cut out in the slide but do to the angle/lighting/whatever is only looks like there is an additional piece there?
