Which buffer for Larue 18 + carbine tube?

I am building a mid-length gas system Larue 18in upper on a Larue lower, and I plan to use a UBR stock.
I have a regular carbine spring, as well as the Wolff XP & Tubbs flat wire variations.
I have an H2 buffer, but I know there are other choices, H3 & others.
    Which would you recommend?

For a midlength, I prefer the standard carbine buffer. I never noticed any advantages to the heavier buffers in my middy.

A midy should use the regular CAR buffer.

Even a Middy with an 18" barrel? It seems like it would be similar to a 16" carbine length system, a little overgassed I guess it depends on the port size and ammo used. Is my thinking that off?
