    Yancey,

Are you using the cocking bar to pull the blade back? You shouldn't have to push against the blade if the cocking bar is working properly. Once the blade is deployed, push the button and pull back on the bottom end of the handle. The cocking bar is held in place with a ball bearing detent.
Bat 57, all I have to say is 'duh'... thank you for educating me.
I feel like a dweeb... which is a daily occurance.

    Thanks again.

I wouldn't entrust my life to it, but it's a keeper.

The 3 on the right are all Microtechs. The middle one is a Benchmade Infidel and the 5th from the right is a Protech.

My new style LUDT. For $130 with an S30V blade, I really couldn't beat it. I have used it as my do everything knife, from cutting carpet to debarking hiking sticks.

The spring is a bit stout however.

    Protech Godfather
    Benchmade Infidel
    Microtech Combat Troodon
    Microtech Ultratech
    Microtech HALO III

I've got a Microtech Executive Scarab on the way as well..
I've went a bit crazy lately.
The HALO is an 06 model, the Godfather I got in 07 from my birthday.
All the others have been acquired in the last couple weeks.

I always loved OTFs and wanted one so bad as a kid, but could never find them.
I can't carry them legally, but they are just too nice to not own a bunch.

Thats a great auto knife. I had one and loved it. The smaller size is really nice too.
