If ya want an M&P, get one. Owners of M&P, including Sport, that I personally know have been satisfied. Maybe talk to the guys on S&W Forums before deciding but I wouldn't agonize and overthink if it's your first rifle. Pick one, shoot it, learn what you like and don't like, then go from there. Good luck.

    That is a great deal.
Dr. Carter G. Woodson, “History shows that it does not matter who is in power or what revolutionary forces take over the government, those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they had in the beginning.”

But he wants to do CQB and run and gun with it too.
Wants accuracy but is looking at non-free float.

And ironically the one that comes closest to being that "magic wand" is probably a 6920.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.
