Oh look, another M4C thread where OP wants something in the $700 range and all of the responses are pushing towards “spending just a little more” with recommendations that will end up nearly doubling the OP’s price tag. Good job guys.

If prices for a 6920 were DOUBLE what he is talking about spending, then I wouldn't have asked. But we are talking about "maybe" $200 more and you buy a LOT for that extra money.

OP also cited "durability and accuracy" and he won't get that for $700 any more than he will get a dependable carry gun for $100. The 6920 is hardly the best or most expensive AR on the market, but I think it is the minimum standard for anyone who wants a rifle for anything serious.

Not in my opinion. But if a Colt 6721 would meet your needs, they probably will come up again over at Aim, I'd recommend their notification list.

Here is the thread in question with pics of the condition of rifles we received. It starts out with surplus 6920s but then they offered 6721s.
