    Colt M4A1's for Israel

From today's (1 May 24) DoD contract announcements. Looks like Israel still has an appetite for M4A1's:

"Colt's Manufacturing Co. LLC, West Hartford, Connecticut, was awarded a $26,675,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Colt M4A1 carbines, suppressors, and flash suppressors. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in West Hartford, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 31, 2024. Fiscal 2024 Foreign Military Sales (Israel) funds in the amount of $26,675,000 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Newark, New Jersey, is the contracting activity (W15QKN-24-C-0037)."

So figure that is 300,000 rifles or so. Population of Israel is about 9.5 million.

At this point they need a "Every home has a rifle" model like Switzerland used to do, so they are gonna need a lot more rifles unless their plan is to hand out Tavors and surplus Galils.

They were just given a dramatic example of why passive defense measures like fences and walls don't work. Given that an ACTUAL enemy, and not simply "illegals", are on the other size of that fence...they need to harden their defense posture and every single citizen of Israel needs to be armed at all times.

Does that mean Israel is paying for them or is that part of the recent aid package passed by RINO Johnson and crew?

Hard to say. A lot of times it's foreign aid and then they give us back the money we just gave them and everyone pretends they are buying weapons from us. 20+ years ago that's how it was, Israel was able to claim they spent MILLIONS of dollars buying stuff from US manufacturers but the reality is we gave them all of the money to do it.

Post 9-11 our foreign aid packages started to change, I have no idea what it's like currently.

Good for Colt, not good for us......Colt parts are already scarce, this won't help our parts situation one bit.

Try to find a Colt LPK in stock anywhere right now. (I actually hope someone proves me wrong and posts a link with some in stock.)

We interrupt this programme to bring you an important news bulletin: the suspect in the Happy Times All-Girl Glee Club slaying has fled the scene and has managed to elude the police. He is armed and dangerous, and has been spotted in the West Side area, armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and his genitals in the other...

You’re already armed up, right? I find it hard to believe any member of this forum hasn’t seen the signs of what’s coming. I glad we’re helping Israel arm up (even more)... and also providing jobs for Americans.
