    Netflix: 3 body problem

OK, forgive me if this has been posted, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. I'm only a few episodes in, but this is possibly one of the best science fiction series I've ever seen.

It's woke, but not too bad. No worse than "the expanse". The first couple episodes really jump around to set the stage. You really have to pay attention. Kind of like how the expanse started out. Once it gets going, you're hooked. I'm having to overcome the temptation to watch the whole first season at one sitting. It's off to such a great start. I hope they don't screw it up.

Anyway, nice distraction to get oyur mind off of all of the crap going on in the world right now.

    Thanks.

Almost started into this a few times, but didn't have enough info and didn't want to wade into weak sci fi. Will give it a look.

I'll check it out. Been looking for something to watch. We just finished SHOGUN on Hulu. Pretty good stuff.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

I can't watch it. Three-body problem from physics still makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

So far the problem of three equal orbiting bodies hasn't been mentioned yet.

Yup. I think someone cheated and read the episode guide before watching it. I'm going to Unfollow this now before I finish the first season. No spoilers.

No spoilers, but this show isn't nearly as clever as it thinks it is.

I'm on E3, and trying hard to like it. So far I really don't. I can only suspend my disbelief so far and for so long before I lose interest. Tried watching Fallout, stopped at S3. It's too stupid for me and I didn't play the game either. I try to at least get to E3 before giving up on a series that "on paper" seems like something I'd like.

OK... I finished it last night. Agreed. Without spoiling it for everyone with details, for me episodes one through five were really solid once everything came together. I was REALLY getting onto this. Six and seven kind of went flat, then the season finale for me "flopped".

So far, I'm in for the next season but they're going to have to up their game a little bit. They did set the stage for a good season, but they're going to have to up their game a little. It's getting too "touchy-feeley" for my taste now. Like "The Expanse" they want to keep you guessing, but the writers are getting all over the place and leaving too many open ends. Almost to the point of boredom in episode eight. It is going off the rails. It can be fixed, but if not corrected in the first two episodes of season two, I'm out.

Sorry. Still worth a watch, but not worthy of it's own thread here. Season one OVERALL gets barely four stars from me.
