Looks like they literally copied a Geissele Mk4

literally the only things they share in common is that they are made of aluminum alloy, have a separate barrel nut, and have both Pic and MLok. They didn’t copy anything whatsoever from Geissele. No one does, because there is no reason to.

What makes it rated for machine gun fire? It appears to be a M4 profile barrel.

Pretty good question, though the M4 profile barrel is itself rated for automatic fire. Just not hamfisted hosing. What’s interesting here is that they appear to be trying to address the heat problem that occurs when someone actually shoots a gun much with a super skinny MLok rail. It’s been convenient to ignore that problem because a nice feeling skinny rail that can be C-clamped is popular. And a 1.375” ID/ ~1.5” OD MLOK rail happens to be the most convenient shape to manufacture and doesn’t require barrel nut timing.

Hey, Stick, are they going to be doing these without the side pic rails (but keeping the bottom and top as is), or in quad format? I don’t dig the stepped transition. Although probably not a problem once I put a LAM on top.

I’d be pretty interested in one of these in a ~11”-11.5” length. BCM does do 12.5” barrels, so perhaps they have an interest in building a rail around one.
