    I wouldn't keep the GI, even if I had to deal with Charlie's.

    The Criterion seems to be the Schmid variant to pick. Aero had Schmids on sale for $50 apiece around Christmas. If you use a GI disconnector spring and cut off a coil to a coil-and-a-half you get a very nice break around 3.5 to 4 pounds.

    There are so many two-stage options out there now that you don't have to suffer through the OEM single-stage trigger.
