I don't know what the new 3" Python is going look like, but's here's a custom built blued one from 2018...I think it's quite beautiful.

Not a big fan of the new Pythons no matter what the bbl length. The new looks nothing like the old. I am partial to my 1964 2.5”

Got 2 19s, one is a 19-3 4" barrel blued, the other is a 19-4 2 and 1/2" barrel nickel. Both pinned and recessed. I mostly shoot .38 through the model 19s and occasionally some 158gr .357 they are some damn nice shooting guns. Also got a nickel plated 586 and that thing can eat anything, it was built for the hot .357 mag loads. Haven't had a chance to own a Colt revolver yet, but a new 3" Python sounds sweet.

That's a really nice gun.

I personally have no interest in a 3" 357 magnum that relying on barrel length to be relevant.
I probably would opt for the 4.25" barrel version. But none of them are worth $1,400 to me.

I was interested in the new SS 6" Python but haven't 'pulled the trigger yet'. I've had my 8" since 1981:
shown with a '67 27-2 3.5 Utah Highway Patrol marked
I also had an Ultimate Stainless 2.5" Python
