    Bolt Catch Issue

    http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?...ght=Bolt+Catch
--Im having the same problem except mine wont lock back at all. How common is this problem? I tried pushing it manually and it just wont go in far enough to get the catch to rise enough to catch the bolt. It's not tight, it just stops.
IS there a possiblity of the plunger actually "hitting bottom"?
It's a DPMS LPK on a Colt lower.

There is a possibility of it hitting bottom, depending on the lower receiver.

Is it an old Colt M16A1 receiver?

Col Crocs I have ordered 3 different bolt catches , springs and plungers, and I think it's the lower that I HAVE. I just hope that I didn't SCREW up my brand new lower by removing the bolt catch at least 5-6 times trying to see which one would work. It's not the BCM Middy upper , because I can put it on my Essential Arms lower and it's perfect.Go figure.

FIxed it! Had a smith shave down the plunger a bit. You might want to try that on one.

Gotta love the smiths from the "Land of Elisco Tool". They are pretty damn good.

ya, took just a few minutes. All that's left to do is fire it.

I was thinking of cutting off 1 coil off of the spring, but I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Do it slowly and test it as you go.
