every Beretta I own gets it. This is ABSOLUTELY the best thing you can do to make a 92 worthwhile. IT IS A MUST, go with a 13 lb hammer spring. You will be happy..

I suddenly find myself in the market for a Beretta. I want a gun that's easy to throw my Omega 9k on without the need for a booster. I'm looking to make a home defense setup out of this, essentially always suppressed.

I can get a black M9a3 from the local gun store for 999. They also have a 92X full size or Centurion(?) for around 700. Either one will need suppressor sights right? If I send the 92X barrel off to have it threaded, and buy suppressor sights, I'm in it less than the price of the m9a3.

Which should I do? Total beretta noob here...

I think the 92X barrel would be too short to thread and would stick with an A3 for a dedicated suppressed Beretta.

They're telling me that the M9a3 is the safety/decocker only. Can I later convert it to decocker only?

Yes. Unless you can find the M9A3 - G, which come from the factory with the decocker. They do exist.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

For the love of all things holy, don't ask the .mil...but there are round counts for the springs and locking block.

I think a modern locking block is supposed to be replaced every 30K or so.

I recall the trigger spring is a 5K affair and it seems logical to also change the recoil spring while you're at it...
