I am in full agreement on 20s, the curved ones look, just wrong. And even while I have almost 30 old 20rders with metal followers, I do like picking up more.

As far as the 30s, I am surprised they moved as fast as they did. I will check the ones I have coming to see what the dates on them are. Though, with them coming from LE, I have the feeling they won't meet AWB for states that need them. But, we shall see, and I will update when I get my order.

Anyway, in the spirit of the thread. MORE MAGS!!!!! In this case Ak mags, Hungarian 20 rounders. Not exactly cheap, but alas, a bit harder to find.

I remember buying 100 AK mags for $100... prices have certainly gone up in the last decade or so.

100 mags for $100? I hate you little bit right now.
I am seriously at the point where I will buy random mags for guns I might have a slight desire to own some day if the mags are cheap now. Or hell, even parts for that matter.

And on the point of mags, the 30rd Colt mags from AU were 2009 and 2011 date stamped. So pretty new. Not in too bad of shape really, At least at first blush, no chance to function test them as of yet.

The cheap Colt 32rd 9mm SMG mag though was a little rough, lot of surface rust.

Is $290.97 shipped for 1,000 Wolf Gold .223 55 gr a good deal?

ETA: Ammo is from Sportsman's Guide; if you're a member you get a double discount today. I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

It’s a dollar more than the normal price at sgammo in this current market.

Okay thanks. I'll pass it up. I did a 30 day trial to get some cheap 9mm training ammo last year, but I forgot to cancel the subscription before it auto renewed me. It's going to auto renew me again in a month, so I figured I'd see if I could get a deal one last time before I cancelled. Taking my first rifle class this fall, so I've got plenty of time to find a better deal.

Just get on the mailing list of sgammo and do routine visits to different ammo deal search engines, like ammoseek. Wolf gold is some of the best value plinking ammo out there, especially if you reload with the brass.

I know some people cuss and diss Thermold mags, but I consider them good range mags.

At FOUR FRIGGIN' BUCKS APIECE you can save your good mags and wear these out all you want:

(I added '500' to my cart just to make sure they don't have...like 3...of these left, and it accepted my quantity. I already ordered 10 of these so I'm good. They have the 'law & gov't' language on the side not shown on the website if that's important to you. I always had good results with these. Maybe they aren't Tier 1 NHMTG mags and you do occasionally get a bad one, but at $3.95 each who cares?)
