Finally finished my little project build. The highlight of the build, besides the Texas Edition lower, is definitely the Centurion Arms 11.5" FBI barrel, BCG and CMR. I'm tempted to put an LPVO on it to see what it can do farther out; maybe end up with a mini-recce build for funsies.

I shoot lefty, so wanted a slick side upper with the case deflector. Pretty happy with how it turned out and passed function check. Will take it to the indoor range sometime this week just to put ammo through it. There seems to be a brace shortage since people have gotten comfortable with the injunction, so I'm still looking for an FDE brace.

Installed an SKD Tactical spacer for Aimpoint Comp M4. Raised to lower 1/3 elevation. I like it but now my SIG Juliet 4 magnifier doesn't see eye to eye with the red dot... Now what?

The Vortex Micro magnifiers do lower 1/3.

Since this is a lightweight barrel, I include some photos of the new and former muzzle devices.

Some guy that shot with us yesterday had one of those. Recoil looked tame, but DAMN that thing was loud.

I shot it… Then immediately stepped forward of the roof and everything was OK.

It was noticeably louder to the ear “inside” than an A2, despite all the accolades. It’s still on there, as it was very easy to shoot.

    Nothing compares to a suppressor.

Yeah. The shooter wasn't suffering. He kept on shooting. But I was impressed at the bark. My gunfighter muzzle device is the same way to some extent. Doesn't rattle my brain, but it's much louder than a flash hider.

A lot of the modern low-flash comps are like that. You’re like “wow, this thing isn’t concussive at all!” Then you get on the spotting scope while your buddy shoots….

Yep. I like persuading Pappabear to let me pull the cans of his LMT MWS guns. Probably rattles his ass, but it's so much smoother for the shooter... me.

I’ve got an EFAB and was impressed with mild concussive effect compared to most comps. I still took it off my primary training LPVO gun and put on a FOSSA. The EFAB went to 18” SPR’ish gun, it’s a better fit there.
