Box jumps and burpees are my addiction and I love it.
anyone in my circle who disses it and makes fun of it hasn't done it.

I believe in peace, love and extremely violent weapons systems... just in case that whole peace-and-love thing doesn't work out.

Well, my Max squat was 610 and I got there without doing box jumps so I guess being lazy worked?

different strokes for different folks. I cared about quality rather than quantity. If you needed someone else to pat you on the back for your accomplishments, good for you. 600 something is big numbers. Good for you.

There are guys in my team that are great on the clean and then they hate the running and box jump parts. Then there's guys like me who love the box, burpees and fun run.
Different strokes for different folks and what works for you probably would never work for me.
Doing crossfit for 4 years now has taught me that everyone has a discord with certain exercises and I don't blame them for that at all.

Roger that. I've heard it for years, but never knew for sure what lifts comprised it.

I disagree. There are other training paths besides crossfit, and they are not lazy, etc.

And from my experience doing it for 4 years in Hungary and the US is that the main detractors are those who never figured it out and those who never really gave it a good chance.

I will say this at the beginning of my journey and even now at certain crossfit gyms which I hate and are mainly in Budapest , there are assholes and bullies who poke fun of the newbies.
That pisses me off the most out of everything else I have experienced. Gyms that do thst instead of encourage beginners and newbies deserve a quick and painful death.

I don't believe in coddling but I do believe in making people be stronger than their excuses.
