Presumably so; since fielding with SOPMOD block 2 there has been a provision to mount a 1x MRDS on top of a scope that contains...a 1x red dot. Not only did Elcan make such a poorly executed 1x red dot capable scope that they had to include a way to mount a supplementary MRDS on top of it, but now they've created the largest MRDS ever. Brilliant!
Yep, and what's more the 1X on top sits well above the already tall, already heavy 1-4X which makes cheeck weld pretty weird and further throws off balance. In contrast a RDS mounted above the eyepiece of an ACOG is able to sit a little lower because the eyepiece is so much smaller. The Elcan SpectreDR is a great optic at 4X. It's too bad the weird internal 1X didn't work better.
