    Arrow solid film lubricants

    any one know a decent place to buy mil-l23398 solid film lubricant?

    are there any commercial yet not mill spec alternatives??

    Here is the company that makes it for the military. Not sure if you have used it before or what you want to use it for, but it's not all that great. I had to rebuild about 20 M2 .50's back in '04-'05 time frame and used it to due to the saltwater exposure the weapons were subjected to.

    I would not use this type of lube in an AR. One exception might be dry-lube inside aluminum or steel magazines, but that would be it.

    Katar,

    The name is rather misleading. We use this to touch up or refinish worn out weapons finishes not really for lubrication. We always applied it to the outside of the weapon.

    I thought we were talking about graphite type dry lubricants - thanks for the clarification!

    Question yea!

    it is the GI touch up stuff sort of a polymer finish.
