I do a mix of ATF and Synthetic motor oil cause i find the ATF has pretty decent corrosion resistance

I tried straight ATF in the past and it held up similar to motor oil.

Excellent thread and thanks for your test wedge. I am curious guys....has anyone tried, is there a reason not to, mix some of the known protectors with the known performer lubes? Say Ezzox and EWL?

I have used Eezox for about fifteen years. One of the reasons it is so good at preventing corrosion is it is about 30% heavier than water so it doesn't float off the surface like oils do.

According to its inventor who I spoke with back in 1996 the Eezox chemistry is different than most lubes. It will mix with synthetic oil but I'm not sure what you would gain. Eezox dries to a wax like film. Mixing it with oil makes it more like the oil and compromises its best properties.

As a dry film lube Eezox is not bad. Go to the Eezox website and read the tests. The test results are public, not secret like some other recent products.
