Glock are screw in from the inside, top of the slide. You will need a front sight tool to remove it. I use Warren or 10-8 rear's with Dawson Fiber fronts. Their fronts come with a front sight tool
All Glocks have a removable front sight.

loctite and needle nose pliers for the front. hammer and punch for the back.
How do you know what height sights to get?
Buy a complete set that states compatability with your model?
You can remove the front sight with a punch and hammer.

It's a gen 3 , I believe made in the 90's
all you have to do is look at it. if i can figure this out, then surely, ANYONE CAN!
