My daughter's Remington 11-87 Sportsman Youth Compact 20 gauge model with a VTAC sling and a Primos Jelly Head Turkey Choke. Yes that's her bird too.

That's awesome man. Those are the good memories she'll always have.

My best memories growing up are shooting with my dad. The smell of Hoppes #9 really brings it back.

Very nice! And that's with a 20 ga too! I now some guys with 3 1/2" 12ga's that cant get a bird like that.

Taking it out for a spin in the desert this Saturday. Should be lots of fun! Any tips for painting the red ring on the safety though? I tried a red sharpie, sadly it wasn't that easy. Might also invest in a Nordic components magazine clamp. Haven't decided on a sling yet either... thinking of getting a PIG single point, but we'll see.

Remove the safety from the trigger group, degrease and paint with red Testers model enamel and a fine point paint brush. Pull a rag tightly across your fingertip and carefully wipe away any paint that ends up outside of the groove. Available at hobby stores and other stores where models are sold.
