How many guys do you think buy a 16" middy and then later think about cutting it down to a SBR? In the last 4 years I have cut a bunch of them down for customers so I guess I do.

I did that once, I was told to remove it.
I sent a pm about advertising here a few years ago but never received a response. I don't come here often and when I do it's to answer tech questions about things that I DO have experience with while I am waiting on it to warm up enough to go work.
I do know a 12.5 works because I have cut many in 556 and 6.8 and that is why I answered the guys question just in case someone is thinking about doing it. In the past if I have said "yes we do that" I was warned about advertising so I don't do that now and as long as my bus name isn't on here anywhere then I can't really be accused of advertising here. I don't need to advertise because I have more business than I can handle as it is. We don't do custom one offs or offer any gunsmithing services now. My market is hunters but I do have many years of experience in smithing(real smithing, not adding scopes and acc) and ARs so some of that may help those that are having problems or just have questions. I unlike some will only answer to things I really have experience with.
How fortuitous.
I was doing a search for info, and I wondering if you were ever going to answer the questions people posed to you in this thread you did a drive by post in.

I usually don't go back looking for specific threads. But yes I'll answer that one since you posted a link. I'm headed to the shop in a few I'll take a photo with a good digital and post it.
Check that now. How's that for ya?
Don't ya love it when things are fortuitous?

I blew out the rings on my Bushy after a few thousand rounds. A friend of mine sheared his key off his Bushy. There's a moral to this story some where.
Needless to say, I will not make that mistake twice. Anybody want to buy a Bushmaster carbine upper? haha
